PFBC is delighted to welcome You to enjoy our new website…
Over the years a substantial Archive has been gathered together within our room which provides a small office space that is located above the Parkstone Library Building, in the Ashley Cross district of Poole (in BCP Council).
PFBC is reliant upon our Volunteers – who look after the Archives and Friends of PFBC Library, with its super Collection: They give freely of their time & effort (unpaid work). Their services are much-in- demand with many requests for information and their help in accessing the Archives.
In order to make PFBC’s Archive more readily accessible to You, this website will be expanded to include lots of material.
Membership of the Friends of PFBC remains at only £5 per year with regular Newsletters; news & views; and invitations. Yet the funds raised by membership, donations + grants barely covers the cost of rent, IT, printing, books etc., etc.
Therefore, when accessing the website You will be befitting all! Also, remember that ‘great oaks from little acorns grow’, so that by using PFBC’s website, the faster it will develop.
As a not-for-profit Charity, your kind suggestions will be helpful… and if You’ve items that are of interest please contact us.
