PFBC is immensely grateful to the Aviators concerned and to their families who made these available.

*Please contact PFBC if you also have Logbooks you would like us to record and to display the details.

There is a wide range of types of Logbooks yet PFBC focuses upon those associated with Flying Boats: These record the roles of the Civil Air officers: Capt., First Officer, Engineer, Navigator + Radio Officer. Within the military here serving on RAF Coastal Command, there was a greater variety of the ranks – Grp Capt., Wg Cdr., Sqn Ldr., Flight Lt., Flying Off. (FO), Pilot Off. (PO), WO, Sergeant, Ag and Ac, etc.

It is prospected that all Logbooks entrusted to PFBC will be made available via this dedicated website. PFBC believes that this is a tangible way in which to celebrate and pay our tribute to those involved !

Uniquely the keeping of these Logbooks reflects the individual approach to the dedication of Aircrew in serving on an often-demanding flight, which was energy sapping – only having to complete entries as an accurate record of their duty, journey flown & destinations en route; also aircraft performance.
